XRF is the standard technique used to acquire elemental analysis data for the mining industry. In the past, miners had to rely on the expensive and time consuming requirement of collecting samples and sending them to laboratories for analysis. Today, our handheld tube-based XRF analyzer is fast becoming a critical device in a miner's on-site tool box.

With the Innov-X Handheld XRF, miners can now save time and money by on-site analysis of elements from Phosphorus to Uranium in solids, liquids, powders, cores, fragments, filters & films, and slurries.

Environmental Monitoring
Most mining companies follow a sustainable development plan that helps minimize the environmental and health impact of the mining process. During smelting, unwanted slag material is analyzed for the natural metals that remain to be reported through the Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA.). OSHA may require elemental analysis of ambient air on filters to monitor toxic dust exposure of miners.

The Innov-X Handheld XRF for elemental analysis meets EPA Method 6200 for metals in soil, NIOSH Method 7702 for lead in air filters, and OSHA Methods OSSA1 and OSS1 for lead in air filters and dust wipes. The 8 RCRA Metals and Priority Pollutant Metals are easily monitored on-site with the Innov-X Handheld XRF.
